“THE TRUMP AND TRUDEAU ADMINISTRATIONS ON WATER”
THE 17TH ANNUAL GREAT LAKES WATER CONFERENCE
Friday, November 3, 2017

Newly elected leaders in the U.S. and Canada have promised changes in direction. What that means for water law and policy, on both sides of the border, will be the focus of the 17th annual Great Lakes Water Conference on Friday, Nov. 3, at The University of Toledo College of Law.
Titled “The Trump and Trudeau Administrations on Water,” the conference will feature two expert panels discussing the actions and plans of the new administrations of President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding our water resources, including the Great Lakes. The conference is sponsored by the College of Law and its Legal Institute of the Great Lakes.
The keynote speaker will be Patricia Morris, director of the Great Lakes Section of the International Joint Commission. A third panel will explore the controversy over whether Lake Erie should be designated “impaired” under the federal Clean Water Act, and will highlight steps Ohio and Michigan are taking to reduce phosphorus loading and algae in the lake.

The one-day conference is free to the public. Registration is $75 for attorneys seeking 4.5 hours of Ohio CLE.
