State and Federal Bank and Thrift Regulators: Who are these guys and what do they do?

From the perspective of both banker and regulator, Smith and Siciliano will provide an overview of the state and federal regulatory agencies that oversee the banking industry. The pair will survey how regulators reacted to the 2008 financial crisis, as well as the current state of regulation under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. They will attempt to answer the question: What’s next in banking and regulation?
